Are your prices competitive?
We monitor our prices real time to ensure we are always competitive in all our areas of business. Typically you can expect a London Rate fitted kitchen to cost about half the price other builders would charge.

Do you have insurance?
London Rate Ltd. is insured with full public liability cover up to £1,000,000.

How do you ensure reliability and honesty?
By checking all the references provided by our Builders. If she/he cannot provide verifiable reference we do not offer them work. We take extra care when tracing each applicant's history. There are no exceptions. We also provide training to make sure that all of our quality standards are being met.

How do you vet your Builders?
Our vetting procedure involves: Proof of identity, Proof of address, Proof of immigration status, Proof of experience and reliability, Tests on common computer repair tasks. London Rate gives all candidates who have passed the vetting procedure training in health and safety and key safekeeping. They are also monitored closely at all times.

Do I need to pay the Builder extra if I want him to work at the weekend?
Yes, the rate of pay for the Builder is on the website www.londonrate.com

Can my Builder come when I am at work?
Yes. You can leave a set of keys to our Builder. You don't have to wait for the Builder every time if you don't want to and you will never be late for work again or worry when you have to stay at work late. Our Builders have gone through our security training with regards to safe keeping keys. It is a convenient way to have your jobs done without having to wait for someone to turn up.

Can I specify the time that the Builder comes?
We make every effort to meet the requirements of our clients and are assisted in this task by our sophisticated database and Internet software. In the majority of cases you can specify the day and the time. If your request cannot be met then you will be automatically presented with the nearest alternative options. 

Are there any extra charges I have to pay - transport, holiday, etc?
There are no extra charges like transport, holiday pay etc. What you use is what you pay for and that is the rate for the Builder service you have booked.

Do you provide transport for your Builders?
No. Our Builders use public transport and their own means of transportation.

Who pays the Builder, you or I?
You do. Our regular clients pay Builders the rate per hour or total cost on the day of the work.

What methods of payment do you accept?

What happens if I am dissatisfied with the Builder service?
In the unlikely event of dissatisfaction with the services, London Rate will offer you a free service and replace the original Builder with another immediately. In order to solve any issue related to poor quality service, we need to receive full feedback as soon as any problems occur. 

Is there a minimum charge per job?
Yes. Minimum £20.

What are your Builder's working hours?
Our Builders work any day of the week from 07.00 to 19.00 including Public and Bank holidays. Builders can finish later than 19.00 if pre-agreed with them.

Are your Builders, high quality and safe?
All Builders are personally interviewed and tested in our director's own homes. We won't introduce you to any Builder that we wouldn't be happy to use ourself!

Can I get an estimate for my job?
Yes. The estimate over the web or phone will be less accurate than the updated one when the builder visits the site.

Do you guarantee the workmanship of your Builder?
Yes! London Rate guarantees the quality and workmanship of all jobs undertaken. The exact length of the guarantee for a job will be given at the time of the work.

Special materials or items need to be purchased for my job. Do you do this or I?
Your London Rate Builder can advise you on where to obtain them or purchase them for you. The internet is a great way of buying and having the goods delivered straight to your home.

What are your fees to dispose of waste materials?
London Rate Builders will dispose of your debris where at all possible. Please check with us at the time of booking.

Can a London Rate Builder do major building work for me?
Yes, most definitely. Our building workers are used to combining into structured teams to undertake rapidly, reliably and cost effectively, the largest projects (we also have highly qualified designers, surveyors, engineers which mean there is not private work we cannot effectively undertake.
