Are your babysitters high quality and safe?
All cleaners are personally interviewed and tested in our director's own homes. We won't introduce anyone into your home that we wouldn't be happy to invite into our own!
How do you ensure reliability and honesty?
By checking all the references provided by the babysitter. If she/he cannot provide verifiable reference we do not work with them. We take extra care when tracing each applicant's history. There are no exceptions. We also provide training to make sure that all of our quality standards are being met on a continuous basis.
How do you vet your babysitters?
Our vetting procedure involves: Proof of identity, Proof of address, Proof of immigration status, Proof of experience and reliability, Tests on common babysitting tasks. All babysitters are interviewed personally. References from previouls employers and parents like yourself are checked carefully. Criminal background checks are performed on every babysitter. London Rate gives all candidates who have passed the vetting procedure training in health and safety and key safekeeping. They are also monitored closely at all times- continuous feedback is provided from parents to ensure babysitters maintain their high quality ratings..
Which areas do you cover?
Currently, we cover the whole of London.
May I interview a babysitter in advance of my booking?
Yes. We understand your concerns about leaving your children with an unknown person. Please contact us directly at 020 8442 9716 to arrange an interview with one of our babysitters.
What times are your babysitters available for work?
Any time. Day, night, weekends. We know that you need childcare at different times of day and night. Our babysitters understand the importance of being flexible with their time. We ask only that you make minimum booking of 3 hours. If you arrive home later than 11.00 pm, we ask you to make suitable transportation arrangements to see your sitter home safely.
Will I always get the babysitter of my choice? Can I have the same babysitter?
The earlier you book, the better your chance is for reserving your top pick. We will make every effort to provide you with your first choice. If your first choice is not available, we will try to match you with another babysitter who meets your needs. In this event, you will be notified in advance of your booking.
Do your accept last minute bookings?
We will try to accomodage your needs. We do accept same-day bookings, however, your first choice babysitter may not be available.
Do I need to pay the babysitter extra if I want her to babysit at the weekend?
Yes, the rate of pay for the babysitter is on the website www.londonrate.com
Are there any extra charges I have to pay - transport, holiday pay?
There are no extra charges like transport, holiday pay etc. What you use is what you pay for and that is the rate for the cleaning service you have booked.
Do you provide transport for your cleaners?
No. Our cleaners use public transport and their own means of transport.
Who pays the cleaner you or I?
You do. Our regular clients pay the cleaner the rate per hour on the day of the work.
What methods of payment do you accept for booking fees?
We accept Cheque, Postal order, Visa, Mastercard, Paypal and direct bank transfer.
Is there a minimum number of hours per babysitter visit?
Yes. You need to book at least 3 hours per babysitter visit.
Can I cancel a booking? How much notice do I need to give?
Yes. You can cancel a booking providing you give us at least 48 hours notice. We will credit the full booking fee against your future bookings with us or we will issue you a cheque for 80% of the fees.
